LAND IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Improvement of land productivity on some of 165’000 ha in Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Bukhara Provinces, and restoration of these lands’ normal ecological functioning resulting in local and wider environmental benefits. The project aimed to address land degradation in a multifaceted way covering incentives, institutions, and infrastructure. It incorporated elements supporting an enabling policy environment, including improved land access security. It also supported capacity building for land and water management institutions and rehabilitation of land management infrastructure.
